Knowledge graphs: use, move agents, delete

A graph's page shows which agents pin which version and lets you move them in one action, share a Ready version and delete versions or the graph. Read this when you maintain a graph other people's agents depend on.

The graph page

  1. Open a graph from the list (/knowledge-graphs/view/<graph id>). It shows the name and description, the action row New version, Edit, Share and Delete graph, and a meta line: ID <graph id> with Copy, 3 versions · latest v3 · 1 building, Created and Updated. While a version builds a status line shows the step with Cancel. A Shared to strip lists share requests; Pulled from marks a pulled copy.
  2. Edit turns the header into Name (required, up to 100 characters) and Description (up to 500); Save or Cancel. Renaming changes nothing about versions or pins.
  3. The Versions table, newest first, re-reads every 5 seconds while a version builds:
ColumnShows
Versionv1, v2 and so on
Createdwhen the version was started
Source documentthe PDF's name, or Imported from <deployment> · v2 for a pulled version
StatusReady, Building (with the step), Failed (with the reason), Cancelled or Deleting
Stats650 nodes · 1,240 edges · 6 relation types · 32 pages, or a dash until the build finishes
AgentsNo agents, 1 agent, 3 agents, with names beneath (hover for one line)
ActionsView build log; Cancel while building; Retry as new version on Failed or Cancelled; Move N agents here on a Ready row when agents sit on other versions; Delete version
  1. The Stats section shows "Nodes, edges and relation types of one version's own graph." Pick a version in the Version dropdown (it opens on the highest Ready), read the Nodes, Edges, Relation types, Documents and Pages tiles, one bar per relation type, and, once trained, Embeddings: complete with a date. Before any version is Ready: "Stats appear once a version is Ready."

Move agents to a new version

  1. On the Ready version you want them on, click Move 3 agents here.
  2. Confirm Move agents to v3: "Move 3 agents from v1 and v2 to v3? They will start answering from v3 immediately." Click Move agents, or Cancel.
  3. Each agent keeps its agent version, connectors and environment; only the graph version changes. To move one agent, re-pin it in its own Configure dialog (Agents: configure and activate).

Share a version

Click Share (disabled until a version is Ready). Share to a Resource Store shares into a store you contribute to, with no admin review; it offers Ready versions newest first with the highest preselected, confirms "Share request sent to" the store, and Shared to tracks the request from pending to accepted or rejected. See Libraries and sharing.

Delete a version or the graph

  1. Delete version is disabled, with the reason on hover, while building, while deleting or while pinned ("Pinned by 2 agents", with their names). Move or unpin them, then confirm Delete v2? with Delete version or Keep it.
  2. Delete graph on the page is disabled while a version builds or any agent pins any version ("3 agents pinned to this graph"). Confirm Delete knowledge graph by typing the name, then Delete. From the list, Delete on a row is disabled only while building; if an agent pins a version the service refuses and its reason appears under the table.
  3. To unpin an agent without moving it: open it, Configure, ✕ on the AMPG chip, Save & Activate; or Deactivate it.

Notes

RuleValue
Pins per agentone graph, one version
Move N agents hereReady versions only; moves every agent on another version of this graph

  • "Couldn't load the agents pinned to this graph.": the Agents column and the delete guards cannot be computed; click Retry before moving or deleting.
  • A move stops part-way: moved agents stay moved; click Move N agents here again. A refused delete shows the service's reason under the header (page) or the table (list). "The action failed.": no reason given; retry, then note the time for your administrator.
  • To see what an agent retrieved from the graph, open the conversation's AMPG tab (Chat: files, previews and approvals).
